Frequently Asked Questions – NSR Meeting 2026

When and where will the NSR Meeting take place?

The meeting will be held on January 16–17, 2026, in Tuusula, Finland. Additional programming is available already on Thursday 15th and also on Sunday 18th for certain selected subgroups.

What is included in the program?

The program consists of sessions, keynote speeches, workshops, and social events such as sauna and dinners.

Is there a program for partners?

Yes. On Friday: a concert with a small introduction at Tuusula Church. On Saturday: a visit to the Halosenniemi Art Gallery. Please note that your registration is personal for practical reasons. Please add the name of the person staying in the same room with you in the additional information field, this will help the allocation of hotel rooms.

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes, registration is required. Choose the appropriate participation pass for You. Additional selection is required for Thursday events as well as for the Smoke Sauna events on Friday and Saturday evenings. Partners are also required to register in person.

What workshops are available?

A hands-on session on AI in Lions activities, Mental health as a Lions theme, Mission 1.5 themes, and a summary of Nordic Cooperation.

Are there keynote addresses?

Yes, one keynote address on Friday – ‘Value of Cooperation in our Nordic countries’; On Saturday – a panel discussion on ‘The Environment is for Everyone, what can we do?’

Are there dinner events?

Yes: Thursday – Dinner for registered participants; Friday – Get Together Dinner at Krapihovi; On Saturday – Gala Dinner at Onnela. The evening programs including Dinner are not included in a daytime participation pass.

What special presentations are there at the end?

Introduction to the 2026 Convention in Hong Kong, Europa Forum in Karlsruhe 2026 and NSR 2027 in Iceland.

What entertainment or evening programs are available?

  • Thursday night: Sauna activity and Dinner for participants registered for those events.
  •  Friday night: Sauna and Get Together Dinner at Krapihovi. 
  • Saturday night: Sauna, Welcome drink, and Gala Dinner at Onnela.

There will be musical performances at the opening and closing ceremonies, and also in both Friday and Saturday evening programs.

What is the dress code?

Casual Lions or Business Casual during the day; Evenings: comfortable attire, including a black jacket or black suit with Lions awards.
