As of July 1st, 2026, Orkesta Norden story as a NSR project has come to an end. This was decided at our annual meeting in January 2026 in Krapi, Finland.
But the Orkestra Norden’s story will continue as a Lions project of MD 107 Lions in Finland hopefully form many years to come.Orkestra Norden will hold their last Concerts as an NSR project in Iceland.
They will perform at two location both in Akureyri and in Reykjavík.

is a platform for young musicians from the Nordic and Baltic regions. The goal is to meet, develop and create music together – with input from the most renowned musicians and composers, who would like to share their experience and knowledge. Its aim is to give young musicians the tools they need. They can use these tools to actively take responsibility for their music and for their own career – a dialogue that must take place in a musical environment, with an eye on the future, and a broader perspective.
