Lions Denmark participates in the management of the Lions Neurocenter,
which is located in Copenhagen.
Lions Denmark has participated in the management since 1981 and occupies 6 of 8 board seats on the center’s board.
Lions Neurocenter is a highly specialized offer for people between the ages of 18-65 with complex acquired brain injury
The target group is adults aged 18-65 years with complex acquired brain injury. The citizen is expected to be able to participate in a rehabilitation process where clarification, independence and active life expression are key concepts. Depending on the offer the citizen is referred to, the citizen may need special treatment/training support for a period of time or a permanent need for extensive care and differentiated help, support and counselling for ordinary daily functions.
Neurorehabilitering
The efforts in neurorehabilitation are organised based on the wishes and goals of the citizen and the relatives as well as on the needs and recommendations stated in the rehabilitation plan and in the municipality’s order. The focus of the interventions is on the restoration of cognitive, mental, physical and social functions as well as testing and implementation of compensatory strategies and aids to the extent necessary. Our goal is to help citizens to a meaningful and active life with as high a level of independence as possible.
Everyday rehabilitation
Everyday rehabilitation aims to provide the citizen with the best framework for creating an independent and meaningful life through an active everyday life and by maintaining and compensating the functions that the resident/citizen has reacquired in previous rehabilitation courses. In the everyday rehabilitation courses at Lions Neurocenter, we are based on an individual and holistic effort. The focus is on making the resident as active and participating as possible in their own life and on maintaining and developing the social relationships.
The center will be presented by one of the general managers and a Lions representative from the board.
After the tour, a traditional Danish lunch will be arranged followed by coffee and cake at Lions Neurocenter.
